Interview Bank · Last updated 25 August 2026

Interview Bank holds the most specific record of your career you are ever likely to write down. This page says exactly where it goes, which on most days is nowhere.

Who we are

Interview Bank is made by 312 IT Consulting. You can reach a human at support@312itconsulting.com.

What leaves your iPhone, and when

Your stories, their scores, your jobs and your whole bank live in the app's own storage on your device. We hold no copy of any of it. Writing, scoring, tagging and searching happen on the phone and send nothing.

Three things do leave, and this page exists to name all three:

This changed in August 2026. An earlier version of this page said the free tier made no network request at all. The app now fetches its settings and counts which version of a screen you saw, so that sentence had to go. What has not changed, and is the part that matters: nothing you write is sent anywhere unless you are on the paid tier and have said yes to the screen below.

AI features send what you ask them to, and say so first

Written critique, mock interviews, job description analysis and gap reports can use a model that cannot run on your phone. Two things both have to be true before a single word of yours is sent: you are on the paid tier, and you have said yes to a screen that names exactly what goes and who receives it. Miss either one and the app answers from a rule running on your phone instead, and sends nothing at all.

That means the free tier never transmits your writing. If you say no, or never pay, scoring, your bank and gap analysis keep working, and you get structural review instead of written critique. You can change your mind either way in Settings, at any time.

When you do use one of those features:

Every piece of AI output in the app carries a permanent badge naming what produced it, so you can always tell which sentences came from a model and which came from a rule running on your phone.

Reporting something the model said

Every piece of AI output in the app has a way to report it — if it was abusive, wrong about you, or unsafe, we want to know, because that is usually a fault in our instructions that we can fix for everybody without an app update.

Filing one is the only time text you wrote or received is stored on our side, and it happens because you asked for it:

If you never file a report, nothing you write is ever stored on our side.

Signing in is optional

The app offers Sign in with Apple, and you can decline it and use everything anyway. It is the only sign-in we offer and we will never add another.

If you do sign in, here is the entire record we create:

Measuring which version of a screen works

We sometimes show two versions of a screen — for example, whether to offer sign-in at the start or at the end — and count which one people prefer. When that happens the app sends: which version you saw, which of a handful of actions you took on it, and a random per-install number so the same person is not counted twice.

It carries no name, no email address, no device fingerprint and nothing you have written. It is a random value minted on your install and destroyed when you delete the app. We are naming it here because it is data leaving your phone, and a policy that mentions only the flattering transmissions is not a policy.

What we never do

The waitlist

If you joined the waitlist on this site, we hold your email address and the moment you submitted it. Nothing else — no name, no IP address, no referrer. We will use it to tell you when the app is out, and then to stop. To be removed, email us and it is deleted.

Purchases

Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details, and we receive no personal information from a purchase — only a signed receipt that tells the app whether the paid tier is unlocked.

Your data, and getting rid of it

Your stories live in the app's own storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes them, and because we hold no copy there is nothing of your writing for us to delete on our side.

If you signed in with Apple, there is one record — the hashed identifier described above — and you can destroy it yourself from Settings › Account › Delete account. You never have to email anybody to be forgotten. If you are on the waitlist, email us and that row goes too.

Children

Interview Bank is intended for people preparing for professional job interviews and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your device, the app will tell you inside the app rather than quietly updating this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
